The Blind Side
*Last weekend, the SKSDA youth group was scheduled to see “A Christmas Carol”, starring Jim Carrey. Although the plans were set, a number of girls from the group ditched the rest of the group in order to catch yet another viewing of the currently popular, and overly rated—“New Moon” movie. This created a dilemma for the group. Would everyone watch a different movie, or would they all choose one to watch together. After some discussion on the subject, Amy Kim offered up the suggestion of watching, “The Blind Side”. Although there was some objection, everyone eventually agreed. The film turned out to be a runaway favorite. “It was one of the best movies of the 21st century,” commented Andrew Lee. “I’ve never cried so much in my life…I had to go to the bathroom early in the movie, but after crying so much, my body became completely dehydrated…” commented Hari Kim. The movie was a source of inspiration, action, light-hearted humor, and oh did I mention…inspiration. Good choice Amy!
