Tyreke The Freak

*Last Sunday, Sacramento King’s rookie guard, Tyreke Evans, was at the Roseville Galleria signing autographs and meeting fans. Isaac Sung and a group of his friends went to the signing-day and came away with an autographed ball, jersey, and some memorable photographs. When asked about the experience, Isaac commented, “I feel like I made a new friend that day. Tyreke is so down-to-earth, and he’s got a great smile, and he’s such a good person, and he even recycles, and I love it when he…” This interview was unable to report all of Isaac’s doting comments about Tyreke Evans.

The Blind Side

*Last weekend, the SKSDA youth group was scheduled to see “A Christmas Carol”, starring Jim Carrey. Although the plans were set, a number of girls from the group ditched the rest of the group in order to catch yet another viewing of the currently popular, and overly rated—“New Moon” movie. This created a dilemma for the group. Would everyone watch a different movie, or would they all choose one to watch together. After some discussion on the subject, Amy Kim offered up the suggestion of watching, “The Blind Side”. Although there was some objection, everyone eventually agreed. The film turned out to be a runaway favorite. “It was one of the best movies of the 21st century,” commented Andrew Lee. “I’ve never cried so much in my life…I had to go to the bathroom early in the movie, but after crying so much, my body became completely dehydrated…” commented Hari Kim. The movie was a source of inspiration, action, light-hearted humor, and oh did I mention…inspiration. Good choice Amy!

Thanksgiving

*Thanksgiving was a welcome rest for all who had a few days or the week off from school and work. Last week, on November 26, the members of SKSDA reflected on the past years hardships, struggles, joys, and blessings. We collectively thanked God for the people in our lives and the great joys of his unending love.

SKSDA, where amazing happens...
